Arizona Right to Life is currently experiencing a severe downturn in financial support and in order to keep our doors open during this critical time when our nation is under siege by the most radical pro-abortion White House and Congress in history, we urgently NEED emergency donations in any amount to continue our fight in championing all innocent human life in Arizona and throughout our country.
To put our dire financial need in perspective, our already underpaid staff have volunteered to cut their hours and wages by 20%. It is only by their good faith and dedication that our doors remain open in order to be on-hand when desperate mothers seeking abortion are able to reach us for advice, adoption and counseling referrals, and so that we can hand out pro-life educational materials, and keep the public apprised of ongoing legislative issues at the state and federal levels.
So what can you do?
Make an emergency donation
For life,

AZ Right to Life Delivers… literally
Phoenix, AZ-Oct. 5, 2009–Another incident demonstrating the diverse "Can do" attitude of Arizona Right to Life occurred late Monday when one employee delivered emergency rations of specialized baby formula to a low-income household in West Phoenix.
Taking a break from regular legislative and BabySay media technology work, Program Specialist Teddy Sifert responded to a desperate call from the blind grandfather of a three-day-old infant boy who needs specialized formula.
The earliest the mother could reportedly receive free breastfeeding education and free formula would be at her initial Oct. 14 meeting with Arizona’s USDA Food & Nutrition Services WIC Program.
After seeking immediate advice and obtaining the formula from 1st Way Pregnancy Center, Sifert delivered a case of formula to the home in West Phoenix.
"We focus mainly on educating legislators and the public about life issues, but the underlying theme is to save babies," he said. "I’m bound to a desk and a phone here; I don’t usually interact with the babies we help protect, but this experience made me understand why all our volunteers do this kind of work every day."
Upon arrival, Sifert said that "It was apparent that this young mother had no guidance or understanding of childcare other than basic instinct," he said. "Doing the right thing is easy; knowing what to do is a little harder. That’s where we come in, so I hope Arizona Right to Life keeps their doors open in these tough times in order to help those in dire need."
One of the goals of BabySay is to educate women about the urgent need in Arizona for proper nutrition during pregnancy. Arizona Department of Health Services reports, for example, that only half of Arizona women know that consuming folic acid prevents serious birth defects, and only 31% of low-income women are aware, even though education and annual supplies of multivitamins are available free.

| Composer Eric Genuis evokes tears, laughter at Xavier College Prep performance

Phoenix, AZ – Oct. 2 - World renowned composer Eric Genuis performed in front of a crowd of Xavier College Prep students, parents, and various organizations at the Virginia Piper Performing Arts Center. Proceeds from the event were split between Arizona Right to Life, Maggie’s Place, and Fatima Center in Tucson.
A violinist, cellist, and vocalist provided accompaniment for Genuis’ tremendous talent that drove the crowd to tears at times, and laughter at other times.
"The music was absolutely beautiful; [Genuis] is a brilliant composer," said a teary-eyed Annie Hoyle, who is the parent of a Xavier student. Adopted herself, Mrs. Hoyle was moved by the music and its inspiration. "The most touching part was when he explained to us his inspiration for the musical pieces. From facing miscarriages, to the death of his son, to his adopted daughter with Down Syndrome, Eric Genuis has a great grasp on the value of each and every life."

AZ Teens for Life Founder: "For Teens, by Teens"
by Mary Patterson
Imagine, if you will, a not-too-distant future where every pregnancy is cause for joy, where every unborn baby is valued and protected from the first moment of conception, and where every woman is treated with the dignity and care she deserves. It can happen! We teens are the next generation, and we can make a big impact on what happens in the future by what we do today.
Arizona Teens for Life is an exciting new group for all prolife teens and tweens throughout the state of Arizona. Our mission is to build a strong and vibrant community of friends bound together by our common belief in the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. Since starting in July 2009, we have created a community of more than 130 teens, and we’re growing every day.
What started as one teen’s idea to connect, unite, and empower prolife young people all over the state has quickly become a living, growing community of active teens with a heart for life. The dedicated staff at Arizona Right to Life has been instrumental in our exciting success story. Not only have we been offered access to speakers, materials, and other tangible forms of assistance, but more importantly we have also been supported and mentored every step of the way with specialized training, networking, and the kind of personal encouragement that makes us believe we can do anything we set our minds to. This enthusiasm and dedication has made a difference in our efforts and inspired us as the next generation of prolife voters and warriors in the battle for life, and we are extremely grateful to Arizona Right to Life.
Teen Tuesdays
Through both social and service opportunities, teens are encouraged to get involved in the fight for life and to educate as many people as possible on the issue of abortion. From praying silently outside Planned Parenthood clinics on "Teen Tuesdays" in support of 40 Days for Life, to having fun at a SunSplash Kick-Off Party and everything in between, our goal is to educate and empower teens to make a difference in the future. When we connect with each other and unite our voices in defense of life, we can — and will – change the world. In January, if we can save enough money for the trip, we hope to represent Arizona at the March for Life in Washington DC.
Teen Site, Teen Might
Arizona Teens for Life was started to get teens involved in this critical fight for life. It is operated "for teens, by teens" and is made stronger and better with each and every person who joins. Sixteen year-old Randi Yeager has signed on as the Vice President and is already taking the lead of marketing the organization (see photo). Our ever-developing freelance website was produced by 15-year-old Nathan Babcock, boasting site visits from as far away as New Zealand and Brazil. And because we are a computer-driven generation, we keep connected with each other via email, a weekly e-newsletter, and social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Ning. Getting together in person, though, is where we find the greatest inspiration and camaraderie.
Making a difference
When asked what impact Arizona Teens for Life has made in her life so far, Caitlyn M. said, "Arizona Teens for Life has made me a more active participant and helped me realize my duty to serve the unborn." This sense of care and responsibility is something our teens have in common. To Isaac U., standing outside Planned Parenthood with signs in silent vigil "educates people about abortion and saves babies." His brother Caleb agrees and loves "being able to get out there and help other people." Getting together with like-minded teens is a rewarding experience every time. Mollie M. thinks "the most important thing is meeting new people while saving lives." Caitlyn added, "I enjoy spending time with people who share the same views as I do."
We invite all prolife teens to join us! Whether they want to be active in a leadership role or just attend events to meet other prolife teens, there’s something for everyone in our effort to build a culture of life in the State of Arizona. As is usually the case, the Metro Phoenix 40 Days for Life Campaign is increasing in numbers of participants who are also finding additional ways to increase their involvement in their efforts to help end abortion.
Since the beginning of this campaign on September 23rd at the 7th Ave. & Roma site, 40 Days for Life has witnessed 10 babies saved. Those mothers and fathers have been rescued from devastating regret and increased health risks. That number includes two more babies saved on Tuesday, October 06. The last national report was Oct. 5th with a reported 123 lives saved. Although Phoenix alone accounts for less than half of one percent, as of Oct.5th 40 Days for Life–Phoenix may comprise 6.5% of the total of saves across the nation.
Arizona Right to Life salutes our members who have joined in prayer with 40 Days for Life.
